Ohio Hires CISO for Election Security

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced Sean M. McAfee as the new CISO for the Ohio Secretary of State's office.SB 52 goes into effect and a key aspect of that bill establishes a Chief Information Security Officer in the Secretary of State’s office. McAfee will not only work to enhance cybersecurity efforts at the state level, but will support work in all 88 counties."Sean comes to us from United States Department of Homeland Security where up until recently he has been doing work internationally," said LaRose. “This is an individual who has worked all over the globe but we are bringing him back home.” McAfee previously was a Cybersecurity Officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as part of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency team, focusing on cybersecurity issues at both a domestic and international level.
