Orange’s Cyberdefense Unit Gets a Leg Up With SecureData Purchase

Orange today acquired the U.K.-based security company SecureData for an undisclosed amount. This purchase is part of the global provider’s bigger push to boost its Cyberdefense unit. The independently operated SecureData has offered managed security services for over 25 years. The company says that its annual revenue reached $65.5 million in 2019, and that it has been growing at an annual rate of about 20 percent. It offers around 50 services including penetration testing, application assessment, managed threat detection, hunting, and firewall. SecureData has one Security Operations Center (SOC) and three data centers, all located in the U.K. This builds upon Orange’s existing nine SOCs. Orange’s existing Security Operations Centers provide security engineering, management, analysis, and event monitoring to detect cyber attacks and attempts at fraud.
