“This extension of Arcserve and Sophos’ alliance provides channel partners with the industry’s only means to combat cyberattacks with solutions that intelligently integrate cybersecurity and data protection to prevent data loss of on-premises, cloud and SaaS workloads,”

~ Oussama El-Hilali, Arcserve’s CTO

Both products leverage AI-powered system protection with deep learning technology to detect known and unknown malware. The malware protection is provided without relying on signatures, exploit prevention and antiransomware capabilities. The products protect against data loss and downtime using agentless and agent-based backup. Customers can do the disaster recovery onsite or to public and private clouds, or local and remote virtual standby. Also included is AES encryption, role-based access control and SLA reporting.

Arcserve Cloud Backup for Office 365 Secured by Sophos protects users’ Microsoft Office 365 data. It includes cloud-to-cloud backup for Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online. Arcserve UDP and Sophos Intercept X Advanced for Server power the service. The goal of the Arcserve UDP Cloud Hybrid Secured by Sophos service is to protect workloads for cohesive cloud security. Offered as a fully managed service extension to Arcserve UDP software and appliances, it provides cyber protection and policy-based management. Both business cybersecurity protection products are available for an annual subscription. This extension of Arcserve and Sophos’ alliance provides channel partners with the industry’s only means to combat cyberattacks with solutions that intelligently integrate cybersecurity and data protection to prevent data loss of on-premises, cloud and SaaS workloads,” Oussama El-Hilali, Arcserve’s CTO, told Channel Futures.

For over a year, we’ve seen an escalation in ransomware attacks not only on businesses, but on MSPs and IT services providers, too. Ransomware gangs have also been changing up their tactics, attacking data backups and workloads stored in the cloud to force victims into paying ransoms. For channel partners, the products deliver Arcserve and Sophos developers’ knowledge to help protect customers, El-Hilali said. “Further, they can remove multivendor complexity and support evolving IT challenges, such as quickly standing up remote workforces and protecting increasingly distributed data.” The alliance also enables partners to access a larger portion of customer IT budgets to increase profitability, said El-Hilali.“It also allows them to win more deals against both pure backup and security solutions, which they can attach to renewals to eliminate churn.” El-Hilali says channel partners are asking for combined services such as these and customers want them.

LocoMobi World Introduces 'WorldSecure,' the World's First Truly 'Smart' Data Security Network to Reduce Cyber Risk

LocoMobi | June 02, 2021

LocoMobi World moves people, vehicles, and data, data that is vital for survival and success. The WorldStream Cloud Portal from LocoMobi World is the epicenter of intelligent transportation infrastructure. With WorldSecure, it now offers the ONLY ingenious system that protects data. It is introducing the Virgil Integrity Network (VIN). It is a next-generation software platform designed to address these generational information security issues. The VIN makes use of breakthroughs in error correction and distributed ledger technology. It prevents unauthorized data access, exposure, or breach while also providing attribution and provenance to all data and any malicious interference with it. The product is a middleware plug-in. It is a simple drop-in app, similar to a VPN, but it reduces the fear and risk of loss, damage, disruption of operations, and irritation of intermittent communications failures. This is a once-in-a-lifetime feat in communications security. Encrypted communications are fragile to minor alterations and in transit, which undermines availability. VIN will be the new information security standard, and it will be available through the WorldStream Cloud Portal. VIN will be deployed initially with select LocoMobi World clients, setting the standard for others before the company begins a full rollout. About LocoMobi World LocoMobi World Inc. is a cloud-based Smart City technology company specializing in parking, tolling, transit, storage, asset tracking, fleet management, and threat management. Our cloud portal, WorldStream, is the first fully distributed cloud infrastructure management system. Furthermore, LocoMobi World offers cutting-edge technology to government, institutional, and parking management clients across North America, as well as a growing platform of transportation infrastructure patents. About Virgil Systems Virgil Systems is a technology company building the next generation of trusted data communication in a zero-trust world. Our platform provides our clients with communications middleware that preserves, restores, and records data integrity while ensuring transmission and storage on any device or network.
