Darktrace Uses Artificial Intelligence To Protect Against Cyber Attacks
An autonomous response solution analyzes events as they are happening, helping to combat zero-day and other threats. Darktrace, a Cambridge-based cyber defense start-up, recently published a new report highlighting some of the company’s major AI operations. The company’s autonomous response solution, called Darktrace Antigena, is seen as an evolution on previous forms of cyber security, as it is capable of neutralizing new threats while maintaining normal operations. Antigena was able to successfully recognize a zero-day trojan, without any prior data on the virus. The solution spotted a highly irregular pattern of activity coming from what looked like a Microsoft file, and was able to contain the virus and remove it within 20 minutes. Most anti-virus software, however efficient, only works when a third-party source provides information on known viruses. That leaves systems open to new forms of viruses, not yet discovered by the community. Antigena, by running on the system in real-time, is able to assess the network constantly and evaluate any problems.

BitSight and Marsh McLennan Collaborate to Bolster Organizations' Cybersecurity Performance

BitSight | November 24, 2021

Exclusive Networks, a global trusted cybersecurity specialist for digital infrastructure, today announced its worldwide distribution agreement with Infinipoint, a provider of a pioneering Device-Identity-as-a-Service (DIaaS) security solution that uniquely enables the critical device pillar of the zero-trust cybersecurity approach. Focusing on mid-market aligned partners – initially in Europe covering France, Germany, and the UK with a view to extending across global territories from early 2022 – Exclusive will be supporting Infinipoint growth targets both through net new opportunities and by capitalising on technology integrations (i.e., SASE, MFA, ZTNA, etc.) and alliances from within its vendor portfolio. Commenting on the announcement, Andy Travers, EVP Worldwide sales & Marketing at Exclusive Networks said, "Of the seven pillars propping up the concept of zero-trust architecture (ZTA), partners have struggled most to position a strong story around zero-trust for device access because specialist solutions simply haven't existed. That's all changed with Infinipoint and DIaaS. Enterprises know that implementing the zero-trust for devices piece right is essential – and with Infinipoint we're breaking down that barrier. It's a great solution and fits perfectly into our cyber ecosystem. DIaaS also naturally supports a multitude of consumption models which makes it readymade for scaling out globally via our X-OD on-demand platform." Launched in July this year, DIaaS has been gaining significant market traction. Exclusive will build on this demand to accelerate and scale globally through its specialist go-to-market services and ecosystem of over 18,000 channel partners. Ariel Kriger, Global VP, Sales & Business Development at Infinipoint said, "Infinipoint is pioneering the Device-Identity-as-a-Service security category and is the first and only solution to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) authorisation integrated with risk-based policies and self-service one-click remediation for non-compliant and vulnerable devices. "Exclusive Networks was the natural choice to support our market acceleration, possessing the necessary specialist cyber expertise and global scale to enthuse, educate and serve pent-up partner demand for this gap in the zero-trust market. Extending a zero-trust security posture to devices remains an essential and urgent requirement for every work-from-anywhere workforce. And to do it properly you have to do it by design, with adaptive access controls acting on device context, continuously checking device posture not just at the point of access – all the while not burdening the IT department or negatively impacting end user productivity. None of this is easy to do, but we've done it and now partners, and their customers can reap the benefit." About Exclusive Networks Exclusive Networks is a global trusted cybersecurity specialist for digital infrastructure helping to drive the transition to a totally trusted digital future for all people and organisations. Our distinctive approach to distribution gives partners more opportunity and more customer relevance. Our specialism is their strength – equipping them to capitalise on rapidly evolving technologies and transformative business models. Lookout and CipherCloud Together are Ready to Redefine Security from Endpoint to Cloud

Lookout | March 15, 2021

In the current event, Lookout, Inc announced that it had acquired CipherCloud. Lookout, Inc is a leading cybersecurity company. It is now joining hands with CipherCloud, a leading cloud-native security company, operates in the emerging Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market. They both blaze a new path together to combine and create an integrated endpoint-to-cloud security solution. By this combination, Lookout will be in a unique position to deliver the industry's first end-to-end platform that will secure an organization's entire data path from an endpoint to the cloud. This will later empower customers with a single source of unified policies and provide end-to-end security to accelerate their digital transformation. CipherCloud solutions are related to several developing SASE categories. This includes Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). Together these solutions will deliver data security, comprehensive visibility, threat protection, and compliance for cloud-based applications. Familiar to this, CipherCloud has already been providing services to many of the world's largest global enterprises and government institutions seeking protection and security through cloud technology. The purpose of this integrated endpoint-to-cloud security solution is accelerated by the adoption of cloud applications, proliferation of remote users, data transitioning of the corporate data center into the cloud, and more network traffic flowing to public cloud services. To tackle the security challenges caused by the above trends, businesses in this industry need a cohesive platform that can track activity and enforce policies from the endpoint device to cloud-based applications. And the need to stop zero-day attacks on data information across the entire end-to-end path, this integrated solution can fill the gaps immediately, keeping all information secured in one place. Jim Dolce, CEO of Lookout, highlights this acquisition. Gartner forecasts that the SASE market will nurture at a CAGR of 42% over the next five years and would reach almost $11 billion by 2024. With the acquisition of CipherCloud, Lookout is head-on with the transformation to cloud infrastructure and is in a unique position to deliver value to its customers. Besides all, the integration of CipherCloud and Lookout technologies will also remove friction, augment usability and convenience, enable user freedom and reduce operational costs compared to a collection of siloed point products. The integrated Lookout platform will authorize a growing number of businesses to deliver critical applications to users working anywhere securely. Jim Dolce, CEO, Lookout, puts his words expressing his version about this acquisition. He says that "We couldn't be more excited to welcome the CipherCloud team to Lookout. Our two organizations share a common passion for accelerating cloud adoption with cloud-native solutions that secure critical data." Joining hands with CipherCloud is the next phase of our enterprise market expansion. By this, we will be extending our reach from endpoint into cloud, where the applications and data reside. Through this combination, we will deliver endpoint-to-cloud security by keeping elements of our solutions together into a single cloud-delivered offering." Apart from this, Pravin Kothari, Founder, and CEO, CipherCloud, also speaks, "as a pioneer of the Cloud Access Security Broker market, CipherCloud has allowed organizations worldwide to achieve their digital transformation. Today, we take the exciting next step on the road to SASE by integrating our strengths with Lookout to deliver endpoint-to-cloud security for the modern workforce."
