iTecs Enters Into A Partnership With Check Point

iTecs | December 20, 2021

iTecs, a Dallas based IT MSP, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Hosting Provider (https://itecsonline.com) enters into a partnership with Check Point, a leader in enterprise and SMB cybersecurity products and solutions, to provide iTecs clients with efficacious cybersecurity protection. The collaboration between the two parties enables iTecs to deliver the various services and products to clients as a managed service.

"The traditional 'perimeter-based' security model is not aging well in this new landscape, and binary access tools are proving to be cumbersome and unscalable. Fixed perimeters no longer govern working environments. Instead, users work on their own devices and sensitive company data stored in third-party cloud services. As a result, companies can no longer rely on binary security models that focus on letting good guys in and keeping bad guys out. The challenge for modern enterprises is how to give users the required access while reducing set-up and maintenance costs without compromising security.

Check Point's Zero Trust Network Access model provides the tools to safeguard companies in today's ever-growing work-from-home demand. Especially with the growing popularity and development of 'METAVERSE' work environments, it's essential to adopt new and intelligent ways of protecting your users," says Brian Desmot, CEO & Founder of iTecs.

Currently in partnerships with Sophos, SentinelOne, Cisco, CoSoSys, and now Check Point, iTecs' Managed Security Services (MSS) division provides SMB and Enterprises with an array of sophisticated and synergistic threat-preventing solutions.

"Our propensity of testing cybersecurity solutions has led us to the conclusion that Check Point is the right partner to provide our clients with maximum ROI. As a result, we are redesigning our website and will include new pages devoted to the broad menu of services our alliance with Check Point is providing,"

Brian Desmot

iTecs is going through a rebranding campaign with the launch of a new logo and website which will be completed by early 2022.

Interos Enhances Industry-First Operational Resilience Score

Interos Inc | March 10, 2023

On March 9, 2023, Interos, one of the leading operational resilience companies creating the world's strongest, safest, and most secure supply chains, announced the introduction of its upgraded cyber risk factor, a part of its i-ScoreTM measurement of operational resilience. The Interos i-Score is the first of its kind resilience score that assesses the health of extended supply chains against multiple risk factors, such as restriction, financial, geopolitical, operations/catastrophe, ESG, and cyber. The i-Score update includes an innovative cyber behavior model to detect potentially harmful cyber activity irrespective of public disclosure, commercial cyber ratings, threat assessment (Mitre ATT&CK®), vulnerability information (CVEs), regulatory compliance, cyber events, and operating country issues into a single score. This advancement directs cyber risk and procurement managers to their multi-tiered vendors most exposed to ransomware, breaches, data leakage, and other cyber-attacks carried out by malicious attackers who target suppliers concealed in the extended global supply chain. Interos's 2022 Resilience study of 1,500 cybersecurity and procurement leaders found that cyber incidents cause supply chain disruptions that cost businesses $37M each year. Andrea Little Limbago, SVP, Research & Analysis, Interos, said, "This is another crucial step forward in helping organizations achieve operational resilience." She further mentioned, "We've added new, proprietary models that integrate and assess data on cloud-based risk exposure, evaluate anomalous cyber behavior, measure regulatory compliance risks and more. It's designed to deliver better and faster information to CPOs partnering with CISOs — who are increasingly being held accountable for collective cyber resilience — to respond to more frequent and severe supply chain cyberattacks, with enhanced monitoring of vendors and third-party service providers." Ambient.ai Launches AI-driven Forensics Tool to Improve Security

Ambient.ai | March 06, 2023

Ambient.ai, the company evolving physical security with computer vision intelligence, recently introduced its AI-Powered Forensics solution to power incident investigations in near real-time. New event-based and entity search capabilities enable teams to search by objects, complex actions, and non-biometric person descriptors such as shirt color, thereby reducing investigation times by over 90%. Security investigations require operators to analyze individual camera streams with search options limited to basic motion or person/object search, log into multiple applications, and wait for time-consuming video processing, which can take hours or days. Ambient's AI-Powered Forensics is wholly integrated with the camera system, enabling near-instantaneous search across camera networks when an incident occurs – eliminating lengthy wait times and processing, thereby reducing security investigations from hours to minutes. Entity Search builds upon Ambient.ai's first-of-its-kind event-based search and filtering capabilities, utilizing non-biometric identifiers for objects and people to locate key footage and sophisticated event signatures. Additionally, Conjunction Search enables users to filter footage by two or more entities, events, or attributes, thereby expanding the search parameter's scope. One-click sharing and archiving allow teams to instantly share footage to build detailed reports on incident timelines, speed up internal and external investigations and responses, and ensure security protocol compliance. With streamlined investigations, security teams can analyze footage to determine security efficacy, threat incidence, and vulnerabilities. The Ambient.ai Context GraphTM uses computer vision to identify entities, objects, and their connections across surveillance feeds and PACS alarms in the new AI-Powered Forensics. The platform uses the extensible graph for threat detection, signals intelligence, and response. In addition, the company continuously adds event and entity recognition signatures and uses human-in-the-loop feedback to improve performance. Ambient's AI-Powered Forensics capabilities have been tested in high-security environments, such as world-renowned museums and Fortune 500 companies. Today, innovative companies such as Adobe, Impossible Foods, and VMware rely on the company to improve their physical security. About Ambient.ai Ambient.ai offers cutting-edge computer vision intelligence solutions to transform enterprise security operations. Its platform utilizes AI to enable continuous physical security monitoring and automate the immediate dispatch of human resources, preventing security incidents before they occur. Ambient.ai is trusted by large enterprises, schools, and organizations worldwide and is the first platform to go beyond basic motion detection and image recognition, achieving near-human perception with automated situational context. Based in Palo Alto, California, Ambient.ai is leading the way in advancing physical security solutions.

Orca Announces New Capabilities to Optimize Cloud Security and Cost

Orca Security | February 17, 2023

On February 16, 2023, Orca Security, a pioneer in agentless cloud security, announced that the Orca Cloud Security Platform now includes a cloud cost optimization framework, which assists organizations in reducing unnecessary cloud consumption and optimizing cloud costs while providing unrivaled security with the deepest and broadest visibility. By using its proprietary SideScanning™ technology, Orca is now applying unparalleled insights into cloud environments, thereby allowing organizations to track and manage cloud spend. Unlike other cloud cost management tools, Orca's platform has the ability to identify more opportunities for cloud cost savings by having a deeper understanding of cloud workloads and their operations. Despite considering cost efficiency a motivator for cloud adoption, several organizations are experiencing high expenses in their monthly cloud bills, mainly due to underutilization and forgotten cloud infrastructure resources. The 2022 State of the Cloud Report by Flexera indicates that organizations lose up to 32% of their monthly cloud expenses. Orca's Cloud Cost Optimization feature addresses the problem of wasteful cloud spending by continuously aggregating relevant alerts about unnecessary cloud infrastructure spending across all supported cloud service providers. These providers include Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud. In addition, the Orca platform simplifies the cost optimization process by categorizing alerts based on cloud infrastructure that is causing excessive spending, such as virtual machines, databases, keys, and load balancers, making deallocation quick and easy for organizations. Even though Stopped VMs on Google Cloud and AWS and deallocated VMs on Azure do not incur charges, many organizations are unaware that they still incur costs for the resources associated with those VMs until they are deleted. Orca assists organizations in recognizing resources attached to stopped or deallocated VMs to avoid incurring undesired charges, including Elastic IP addresses and EBS volumes on AWS, OS and data storage disks on Azure, and persistent disks and external IP addresses on Google Cloud. About Orca Security Founded in 2019, Orca Security is a leading global firm that provides agentless cloud security solutions to hundreds of enterprises. Its Cloud Security Platform can detect, prioritize, and fix security risks and compliance issues across cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes. The company's patented SideScanning™ technology and Unified Data Model make security possible for organizations moving to and scaling in the cloud and enable them to secure their cloud infrastructure while providing comprehensive coverage and visibility of all risks. With continuous first-to-market innovations, the Orca Platform ensures security teams can quickly identify and remediate risks, keeping businesses secure.
