LocoMobi World Introduces 'WorldSecure,' the World's First Truly 'Smart' Data Security Network to Reduce Cyber Risk

LocoMobi | June 02, 2021

LocoMobi World moves people, vehicles, and data, data that is vital for survival and success. The WorldStream Cloud Portal from LocoMobi World is the epicenter of intelligent transportation infrastructure. With WorldSecure, it now offers the ONLY ingenious system that protects data.

It is introducing the Virgil Integrity Network (VIN). It is a next-generation software platform designed to address these generational information security issues.

The VIN makes use of breakthroughs in error correction and distributed ledger technology.
It prevents unauthorized data access, exposure, or breach while also providing attribution and provenance to all data and any malicious interference with it.

The product is a middleware plug-in. It is a simple drop-in app, similar to a VPN, but it reduces the fear and risk of loss, damage, disruption of operations, and irritation of intermittent communications failures. This is a once-in-a-lifetime feat in communications security. Encrypted communications are fragile to minor alterations and in transit, which undermines availability.

VIN will be the new information security standard, and it will be available through the WorldStream Cloud Portal. VIN will be deployed initially with select LocoMobi World clients, setting the standard for others before the company begins a full rollout.

Laminar Adds SaaS and Deepens Data Warehouse Support for its Data Security Platform

Businesswire | July 20, 2023

Laminar, the leading agile data security platform provider, today announced it has added Microsoft SharePoint Online and Google BigQuery to its existing support for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Snowflake. The additions make the Laminar Data Security Platform the first and only cloud-native data security solution to support all major cloud service providers (CSPs), leading data warehouses, and common software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications used by today’s top enterprises. The cloud’s limitless potential is rooted in the data that an organization has, and what they do with it. To power innovation, 94% of enterprises use cloud services and applications. Microsoft SharePoint is the third most popular enterprise application, with 65% of its users adopting the cloud version, SharePoint Online. Employees routinely collaborate on shared content, and developers work with it as well to automate business processes, track progress, and share information across departments or with partners. Similarly, Google BigQuery is one of the top three data warehouse solutions. It is a powerful analytics platform that excels at processing and analyzing massive volumes of data quickly and efficiently. With its scalable architecture and advanced querying capabilities, BigQuery enables organizations to gain valuable insights from their data in real time, empowering data-driven decision-making and accelerating business growth. Both solutions enable developers, data scientists, and other innovators to be creative and extract the maximum value from their operational data. For instance, business intelligence staff may use these tools to analyze customer purchase patterns or sales trends, while data scientists may look out for hidden associations within the data to inform new strategies. Unfortunately, these same activities also open organizations up to significant risk by generating unknown or “shadow” data — a top concern for 93% of data security and governance professionals. Data security needs to be agnostic to the infrastructure in which data resides. Security posture must also travel with the data, as it moves through the cloud and the related data warehouses and applications. By adding support for Microsoft SharePoint Online and Google BigQuery, customers using the Laminar Data Security Platform can now discover, classify, and secure data in even more environments. Thus, data security and governance teams can see and secure their organizations’ data consistently across the entire digital landscape. "Data security is different, and more challenging in the cloud. Shadow data is everywhere and data security pros want to know where their sensitive data is, how it is accessed, used, and protected. Whether its structured, unstructured, managed, in SaaS, data warehouse, or embedded database” said Amit Shaked, CEO and Co-Founder, Laminar. “They are not experts in SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and certainly not individual data storage services. They want visibility into all their cloud data from a single source. Our continued support for the diversity of cloud environments, including now SaaS, means customers can have a unified, consistent approach to data security.” The news continues Laminar’s ongoing product innovation, following the announcement of support for GCP and Snowflake, as well as data detection and response (DDR) and data access governance (DAG) capabilities. About Laminar Laminar is the leading agile data security platform and provides organizations with the visibility and control they need to achieve data security, governance, and privacy in the cloud. Our cloud-native data security solution continuously discovers and classifies all cloud data, structured and unstructured, across managed and self-hosted data stores, including unknown shadow data, without the data ever leaving your environment. It analyzes access, usage patterns, and security posture, and provides actionable, guided remediation for data security risk. Laminar connects to your multi-cloud environment including AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, BigQuery and SaaS applications via APIs and is agentless, asynchronous, and completely autonomous.

Fortinet New SASE Offerings Improve Cloud Protection for Microbranches

Fortinet | September 05, 2023

Fortinet, the worldwide cybersecurity leader driving the integration of networking and security, has announced new enhancements to its market-leading single-vendor Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering. FortiSASE already shields the hybrid workforce using a unified agent and includes SD-WAN integration for the branch. This solidifies FortiSASE's position as the market's most comprehensive offering. The list of Fortinet extended SASE solutions: SASE for Microbranches and IoT/OT Devices: FortiSASE now offers expanded integrations within the Fortinet wireless local-area network (WLAN) suite to aid organizations in securing microbranches and associated devices. FortiAP wireless access points intelligently offload traffic from microbranches to a SASE point of presence (POP) for scalable security inspection of all devices, including IoT and OT devices. This integration also implies that the Fortinet WLAN portfolio can be managed by the same straightforward, cloud-based management console customers already use for FortiSASE. Enhanced Data Loss Prevention Service: As a component of its cloud-delivered security services, FortiSASE includes the FortiGuard-powered Data Loss Prevention (DLP) service to safeguard sensitive data across the entire hybrid environment. This service now consists of a broader range of file types, data identifiers, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, along with sophisticated data matching techniques to prevent accidental data breaches. By constant DLP enhancement, Fortinet provides organizations with a detailed understanding of their cloud applications and the tools needed to defend against new threats effectively. End-to-end Digital Experience Monitoring: For comprehensive network and SaaS application monitoring, Fortinet's Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) solution integrates with FortiSASE to offer insights across users, Fortinet global SASE POPs, and the performance of SaaS applications such as WebEx, Office365, and Dropbox. In addition, this integration enable endpoint monitoring to provide end-to-end visibility, empowering IT teams with the data they need to decrease resolution times and ensure a positive user experience. Leveraging FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services, Fortinet's SASE provides an extensive set of features, including unified security, streamlined management, and end-to-end Data Edge Management (DEM). This is accomplished by seamlessly integrating cloud-based security components, such as a cloud access security broker, secure web gateway, and Firewall-as-a-Service, in conjunction with networking functionalities through Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN). In addition, the solution incorporates Universal Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) capabilities to ensure resilient and secure connectivity to and from the internet, privately hosted applications, and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
