Cyber attacks set stage for massive 2017 cyber security spend

Global cyber security spending will increase to over $81bn this year, driven by the growing fear of cyber attacks , according to IDC. In the latest update to its Worldwide Semiannual Security Spending Guide, the analyst noted that in 2017, spending on security-related hardware, software and services will jump 8.7 percent year on year to $81.2bn.
